Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced, actively licensed New Jersey Real Estate Broker with demonstrated leadership, supervisory, and communication skills to join our management team.

The Broker Manager will play a key role in supporting real estate advisor performance, professional development, daily office operations, regulatory compliance, recruiting, and company growth.

This hands-on management position is suited for a professional who enjoys coaching salespeople, developing productive teams, solving problems, and building a collaborative, accountable office culture.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience supervising licensed real estate agents or comparable sales professionals, along with experience managing small teams of administrative or support employees.

We also recognize the value of transferable leadership experience in related sales-driven industries, particularly in sales force supervision, marketing management, employee development, and business operations.

The Broker Manager will collaborate closely with company leadership, operations, marketing, and transaction support teams to provide responsive guidance and help advisors achieve measurable business results.

Key ResponsibilitiesAgent Leadership, Training, and Professional Development

• Lead and support onboarding and integration of newly affiliated real estate advisors.
• Supervise, mentor, and coach licensed real estate professionals with varying levels of experience.
• Deliver training on company systems, policies, transaction procedures, compliance requirements, technology, and Sotheby’s International Realty resources.
• Coach advisors on business planning, prospecting, buyer and seller consultations, listing presentations, pricing strategies, negotiations, and client relationships.
• Help advisors establish productive routines, measurable performance goals, and accountability systems.
• Identify professional development needs and coordinate appropriate training, workshops, and mentoring opportunities.
• Maintain regular communication with advisors to address challenges, encourage productivity, and support business growth.

Sales, Listing, and Transaction Support

• Provide practical broker guidance on listings, buyer opportunities, contracts, negotiations, agency relationships, and transaction-related matters.
• Assist advisors in preparing for listing appointments, pricing discussions, offer presentations, and important client interactions.
• Support effective listing strategies, market analyses, prospecting plans, and follow-up systems.
• Help resolve transaction challenges, advisor concerns, and client-service issues using sound judgment and professionalism.
• Encourage consistent use of company marketing resources, market intelligence, CRM platforms, and technology.
• Promote practices that strengthen advisor productivity, professionalism, and client satisfaction.

Office Leadership, Operations, and Employee Supervision

• Directly supervise a small team of administrative and support employees.
• Oversee daily office operations, establish priorities, delegate responsibilities, and monitor performance.
• Clearly communicate expectations, provide constructive feedback, and maintain employee accountability.
• Serve as an accessible resource for advisors and employees regarding brokerage procedures, transactions, technology, and operational matters.
• Coordinate with company leadership, marketing, operations, and transaction support departments to ensure efficient workflows.
• Ensure consistent application of company policies, New Jersey real estate laws and regulations, professional standards, and risk-management practices.
• Address employee, advisor, and client concerns through effective communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution.
• Maintain an organized, professional, collaborative, and productive office environment.

Recruiting, Advisor Retention, and Company Growth

• Participate in recruiting, evaluating, welcoming, and onboarding prospective real estate advisors.
• Communicate the company's value proposition, culture, marketing capabilities, support services, and growth opportunities.
• Develop strong professional relationships with advisors to encourage engagement, retention, and continued productivity.
• Collaborate with leadership on initiatives to strengthen office performance, recruiting, and company growth.
• Represent Kienlen Lattmann Sotheby’s International Realty professionally within the local real estate community.
• Contribute ideas and strategies that enhance market presence, advisor experience, and company performance.

Required Qualifications

The following qualifications are essential for consideration:

• Active New Jersey Real Estate Broker License — REQUIRED.
• Demonstrated experience supervising, coaching, and developing licensed real estate agents or comparable sales professionals.
• Direct experience managing employees , including delegating responsibilities, monitoring performance, providing feedback, and maintaining accountability.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills , including the ability to communicate expectations, motivate individuals, resolve conflicts, and conduct difficult conversations professionally.
• Working knowledge of New Jersey residential real estate transactions, contracts, agency relationships, regulatory requirements, and brokerage compliance.
• Strong organizational, administrative, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and effectively coordinate day-to-day office operations.
• Professional judgment, integrity, discretion, and a commitment to ethical business practices.
• Ability to work collaboratively with company leadership and multiple departments.

Professional Experience and Transferable Qualifications

Candidates should possess a minimum of 3–5 years of successful experience in residential real estate, sales management, or a related professional industry.

While experience supervising licensed real estate advisors is highly desirable, candidates with comparable supervisory and leadership experience in related industries will also be considered, provided they hold an active New Jersey Real Estate Broker License and meet the essential management qualifications.

Relevant transferable experience may include:

• Supervising and developing sales forces or teams of sales professionals.
• Managing marketing initiatives, promotional campaigns, and business development programs.
• Overseeing small teams of administrative, operational, or customer-service employees.
• Establishing productivity goals, monitoring performance, and improving sales results.
• Recruiting, onboarding, training, and retaining sales professionals or employees.
• Managing departmental operations, budgets, workflows, or cross-functional teams.
• Implementing CRM systems, digital marketing platforms, and business technology.
