About This Role

We're searching for an experienced Childcare Center Director to lead our team and operations. With a strong focus on compliance, quality, and family relations, this role oversees daily activities, manages paperwork, and drives growth. What You'll Do

• Tour families, manage enrollment and re-enrollment processes, facilitate communication, and foster retention strategies to ensure a smooth and engaging experience for all.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, maintaining accurate and up-to-date licensing files, staff records, and health and safety protocols, while preparing for state visits and inspections.
• Provide program oversight, supporting GA Pre-K coordination, scheduling, and lesson planning, while ensuring classroom coverage as needed.
• Administer the CACFP program, including accurate counts, menus, and documentation, while submitting timely and accurate claims.
• Manage administrative tasks, including staff scheduling, payroll inputs, billing, and recordkeeping.
• Oversee vendors and supplies, handling ordering, inventory, deliveries, and basic facility follow-ups.
• Lead in the areas of culture and coaching, including hiring and onboarding, teacher coaching, check-ins and professional development, and maintaining a positive, professional team culture.

Requirements

• CPR/First Aid certification (required or willingness to obtain before hire)
• Childcare Credential (required)
• Georgia 40-Hour Director Training/Certification (required)
• 2+ years in a licensed childcare/preschool setting as Director or Assistant Director or equivalent operations lead.
• Clear, professional communication with families, staff, vendors, and regulators.
• Working knowledge of Bright from the Start (DECAL) rules, GA Pre-K processes, and CACFP administration.
• Strong organization and follow-through with files, forms, deadlines, and audits.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to multitask, problem-solve, and build positive staff morale
• Commitment to creating a safe, nurturing, and educational environment
• Willingness to be hands-on (cover a class briefly, help with carline, assist front desk).

Nice To Haves

• Experience with quality systems (QRIS/accreditation), basic budgeting/purchasing.
• Bachelor’s in ECE/Child Development/related field (preferred, not required).
